Sources before certainty.
How our field desk works.
We separate information confirmed by official documentation, findings attributed to a named source, reports from the community and observations tested by our team. A popular post is a lead to investigate, not automatic confirmation.
Research starts with original sources. Several websites repeating the same Reddit post count as one chain of evidence. We keep relevant source links with the article and explain uncertainty when evidence conflicts.
AI can assist with research organisation, outlining and drafting. An editor remains responsible for checking claims, references, clarity and the distinction between research and first-hand experience. We do not claim to have tested something solely because another source tested it.
Corrections should change the substance of the guide. We update facts when documentation, patches or credible evidence require it, and identify the review date. Titles should describe the answer the article can actually provide.
Advertising, when activated, will be labelled and separated from editorial navigation and recommendations. Paid relationships and affiliate links will be disclosed where relevant.
